Film Producers Group
The Jobs for Women Producers Group was established to bring this inspiring story to film. The Producers Group is made up of progressive filmmakers and writers, along with key participants from the Jobs for Women struggle.
As a young activist Robynne helped found the Jobs For Women campaign, and was one of the first women to file a claim with the anti-discrimination board. Robynne became one of the leaders of the grassroots struggle. Previously she studied at the Australian Film & Television School and made films on women, welfare and social justice.
Mel is news and online editor of the newspaper Green Left Weekly. She co-produced the Radical Wollongong film, and has written on social justice, environment and feminist issues for more than 10 years.
Kirsty has a Bachelor of Performing Arts (Theatre), and has directed many plays for a range of theatre companies. She was the co-director of the short film The Women Who Were Never There.
Mila has completed her MA Communications, Graduate Certificates in Directing and Screenwriting at AFTRS, and participated in international Screenwriting workshops in Cuba and Costa Rica, She has written and directed two short films and worked on 4 feature films.
Pat is a longtime feminist campaigner and socialist activist, and was involved in the Jobs for Women struggle. She is co-author of Women of Steel, and has authored other books on politics, women's rights and unionism.
Robert is a social justice activist and retired local government engineer, who recently acted as production assistant on The Women Who Were Never There.
